Rach's sea to sky for MS
Help kiss goodbye to MS
Around 4000 Kiwis have multiple sclerosis and a few years ago one of my best friends was diagnosed with the condition.
MS is a disorder of the central nervous system which includes the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves and women are affected approximately three times more often than men. There is very little funding available for people with MS so I’ve decided to raise some money so they can continue to help people who need it.
One of the effects is debilitating exhaustion, so I’m going to push my body to the limit and have a crack at the sea to sky triathlon.
I’ve never done something like this before, and have very little time to train, but with your support I’ll get it done – and hopefully raise some money along the way!
You can find out more about the race here: http://www.sea2skychallenge.com/ And here’s some info The Multiple Sclerosis & Parkinson’s Society of Canterbury https://ms-pd.org.nz/
